About this book

The i5 pedagogy offers a transformative and holistic approach to responsible management education that can effectively develop the knowledge, skills, and mindsets required for future business leaders to drive positive social and environmental impact.Traditional business education pedagogies have fallen short in equipping students with the competencies needed to tackle complex sustainability challenges and to lead responsibly. With contributions from several leading thinkers in responsible management education, the i5 pedagogy addresses this gap by integrating five key principles: making learning meaningful, facilitating active engagement, designing for iteration, developing supportive social interaction, and fostering joy and well-being.The book presents a compelling case for the i5 pedagogy as a transformative approach to responsible management education, grounded in educational theory, neuroscience, and cognitive science. By showcasing the ways in which educators have implemented the i5 pedagogy across various contexts, the book demonstrates the versatility and effectiveness of this approach in developing responsible leaders capable of driving positive change.Already adopted by key business schools, the new Impactful 5 pedagogy will benefit business school faculty and administrators who are looking for different ways to design and implement curricula that not only match the ways students want to be engaged in learning but also match the challenges they will face as business leaders.
